Recommended Selling Price (RSP) & Promotional Pricing

  • Based on the selling price by the supplier, we will formulate a workable formula to work out a justifiable selling price for our products in the Cambodian Market
  • The RSP should include a buffer to take into consideration rising cost of raw materials, logistics, manpower, and other operating costs

  • To ensure that products are being sold at the same prices in the country, we need to carefully select the products that will move be sold in the higher end supermarkets, the general supermarkets, and the provision/furniture outlets
  • Do take note that RSP serves only as a guideline and is normally priced higher to allow for promotions and markdowns

  • Generally, based on the ex-work selling price given to distributor, we will multiply this amount by 1.7-2.2 times to calculate our selling price to the supermarkets, stockists, and dealers, and compare this to the market selling price of comparable items in the market, before determining the actual RSP
